In last week’s Communique I mentioned that managing a work-life balance will develop a strong sense of who you are, your values, and what is important. Follow your calendar, timeline and guidelines for EVERYTHING you do. This will then determine your own success.
You are all busy – so if you’re juggling multiple jobs or roles it’s imperative to control your calendar and make a commitment to each category with a segment of time. By creating calendar control you are able to commit to achieving your goals. Once you have your goals down, the next step is creating a schedule that allows you to spend time to grow your business.
This calendar system allows you to create balance with your personal life and your JewelScent life. This business was created for you to have the flexibility to work when you want to work and set your own pace and goals, while not sacrificing the important personal areas of your life like spending time with family.
The following colors represent how to create that balance in your life.
GREEN = JewelScent revenue generating activity
PINK = personal time/family time
BLUE = training or personal growth time
ORANGE = power hour time
Examples of what you could be doing in each color category:
GREEN = Home Show, Virtual Party, Share & Earn Party, Open House, Working at an Event, 1:1 Sales, Sponsoring a New Consultant.
PINK = Having dinner with your family and/or friend, doing something FUN (shopping, hair and nail appointments), going away for a weekend, going out for ice cream or pizza, have a “Stay Vacation” (build a fort in your front room or pitch a tent in your backyard and spend quality family time.)
BLUE = Listening to the monthly JewelScent trainings, participating in Team Page trainings, reviewing all training materials in the Backoffice, reading books and/or articles that can help you to build and grow a successful business.
ORANGE = Follow-up customer service calls to anyone who placed an order with you, connecting with a host for Host Coaching, mailing out samples, preparing for any parties you have that week, following up with your YES’ to set dates for future parties, following up with potential New Consultants, updating your FRANK’s List for Booking and Sponsoring.
Thoughtfully align your goals, both personally and professionally. You have control of your calendar. Scheduling includes your VPs, Home Shows, Events, and 1:1 appointments, plus Host Coaching, Team Coaching, Sponsoring, and ALL THINGS JewelScent.

So I wanted to share with everyone how I book parties.
I try to offer something each month for hostesses/hosts. Usually Essentials products while we have them or rings. So I will post and say something like...
“Who would like to get a FREE Essentials Wax Tart?!? Comment below👇 and I will message you!”
I usually get a good amount of reaction towards these posts. The key to getting a reaction is not using the word PARTY. For some reason this word scares people away from your post. So after someone comments on it I send them a private message and it usually says something like...
“Hello to you! I see you are interested in an essential Wax Tart! What scent would you like to try?!?”
I then wait for them to reply.. after they do reply then I go in to seal the deal!
“That’s a great scent! So this month I am giving all my hostesses an Essentials Wax Tart just for having a party! It’s super easy! These parties are 14 days long and completely on Facebook with access to the website, all you have to do is invite and participate on posts! I have Hostess challenges you can choose to do if you would like and you can earn some awesome rewards! Would you be interested in hosting a party with me?”
I have had a lot of success doing this. You will have your no’s and you will have your yes’ it seems like most potential Hostess/hosts are more up for doing a party when you PM them vs them doing it through a post. Some are super interested and want more details so I will explain more and I also offer a home show or a combo party if they are local. I love combo parties!
If you don’t want to give something away for free you can alter it with stipulations like...
Want a chance to EARN a Free Wax Tart?
You want to be careful of your wording for no confusion. Be sure to explain your terms. And be sure to explain what you are offering.
Then message and just offer the “if you host a QUALIFYING party with me then you will get a free essentials wax Tart from me!”
There are many ways to alter this. Just make sure you honor your deal If you have one. I personally don’t give them the Wax Tart until I start their party. Sometimes I will order it through my customer account and use their party link if I don’t have it on hand already. This will help my hostesses/ hosts a little."
Prize club - jewels of america
- If you need to make any changes to your subscription box you will need to cancel your current subscription and resign up. Example: Address change, ring size, quantities etc...
- If a customer signs up for the subscription box but then decides to become a Consultant they will also need to cancel their subscription and resign up to be able to get the Consultant discount.
- Sweepstakes- Just as a reminder, everyone who has purchased the subscription box (Consultant or Customer) is automatically entered into that month's sweepstakes. If someone is interested in entering the sweepstakes who did not subscribe for the Prize Club can mail in the postcard but there is a limit of one per household.
- Recurring Charge - If you sign up on the 31st of the month for the Prize Club and the following month does not have 31 days your recurring charge will automatically update to the 1st of the following month.
Example: Monthly recurring payments due and collected on the 31st
If the subscription terms are $25.99 USD a month and the subscriber signs up on Thursday, July 31. The subscriber is billed as follows:
Thursday, July 31 = $25.99 USD
Saturday, August 31 = $25.99 USD
Wednesday, October 1= $25.99 USD
Saturday, November 1= $25.99 USD
and so on
Notice that no recurring monthly payment was collected in September, but recurring payments were collected roughly every 30 days.
